Our Rangers Need to be Prepared for Snake Encounters!

Project Brief:

The primary protectors of wildlife of Zambia are the game rangers of the Zambian Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPW). However, the rangers are neither trained nor properly equipped to catch and remove ‘problem’ snakes or snakebite.

To change this, HHiSS aims to work together with Game Rangers International (GRI) in training rangers in the reconition and handling of snakes. In addition, HHiSS will provide snake handling equipment.

In addition to the Snake Recognition and Handling training, the rangers will receive training in first aid in snakebite treatment.
